Angels and Demons

Yet another master piece from D B. The story setting is similar to that of Da Vinci Code with Occult groups being the Prime focus. In Da Vinci code it was Priori of Scion so here it is ILLUMINATI.But there is a difference in this novel. It is a gud mix and mash between religion ,philosophy and science. While the novel dwells on the origin of mankind at one end,it also touches the question of Renaissance time in Europe when Church was at its evil best.TO spice up the novel there is scinetific twist with the bomb being a tiny droplet of Anti matter looking very innocous but strong enough to destroy the whole Vatican...Saying anything more would be spoilin the suspense...

A MUST READ

Dan Brown Novels :- An critique Da Vinci Code

Hi frnds just now I happened to finish the DAN Brown Best Seller The Da Vinci Code.Apart from the taut storyline , one thing striking about this book is its novel story setting i.e the religious background and the pagan history of Catholic church, which no body else would be able to mesh as nicely into a thriller as it has been done by Dan.The main protagonist Robert Langdon is not a spy like as in Robert Ludlum novels, nor is he a lawyer as in John Grisham novels. He is just a ordinary symbologist which sounds pretty mundane and run of mill type until we come to the plot start which is somewhat after the first 135-150 pages.
The novel is also a treasure trove for those interested in the study of the ancient catholic church`s evolution and the history of mankind. The female character of Susie is a pretty strong headed character so much so that sometimes she saves Robert from trouble particualry inside the Muesuem where they are locked up by the French Police chief.
On the whole an excellant storyline, superb characterisation and a explosive end make this novel what it currently is i.e. a bestseller.

Current Update :- Hollywood movie moghuls are planning to make a movie on this novel .They have already sighned up Tom Hanks for the role of Robert Langdon.
