Lawrence of Arabia.. a magnum opus

hi

saw lawrence of arabia , a couple of days back.. As such the story is not that novel or you would say out of the box but there is something about the movie which has captivated me.

The harsh desert setting of Sahara contrasting with blue eyed Peter O Toole, his mental turmoil and the focussing on ethics inspite of the fact that the ppl he is fighting with and fighting against have scant regards for tat E word, his metamorphosis into the very characteristic of mankind he hated in view of the surrounding he was in .

To appreciate a classic like that one has to go out of the ordinary , the visuals , the audios and begin to see them in totality , only then would you be able to feel the pulse of the director and see the emotions he is trying to portray thru the elements of movie making.

Modern day Woo`s , spielbergs learn something from the masters. You have all the sophisticated gadgets still your movies dont have recall value but for these classics , a novice in movie watching like me seeing after some 30 odd yrs of their release was spell bound .

Corporate Mahabharat !!!

hi first of all sorry for not updating my space frequently .But then I used to be involved in my office work quite passionately ( ok ok not tat passionately but atleast used to work whenever it used to come forgetting everything else ;) )..

Life is like a box of chocolates , you never what you gonna get..tat one fits me like a shoe.

Only 3 yrs back , I was at the fuckin top of the hill when I had got one of the sought after jobs in campus. But now as I look back I m hell down in deep shit , in a technology which is as antediluvian as the vaccum tube diodes . But then as in game of monoply , we cant make all the choices so is the case with life.It makes hell lot of choices for you and sometimes what may seem a good choice at shortsight might be something bad for long run and vice versa.

Well to cut a long story short, my company decided that mebbe I was not doin work in India so if they could send me to onsite and somehow impress upon me that I am goin to client site , I might straighten up my act and by jovi they were rite ;) ...
I did straighten up my act and was working with full earnest.although the work was shitty and was in no way going to help me in my technical growth.
Basically I was sent to do a technical feasibility analysis of a new system the client had planned to introduce , so that they could save money on their IT processes and I was sent as I was thought to be quite well versed in the old technology and the way to interface it with new technology which they were plannin to implement.

We did coding, testing , running long lengthy test cycles and guess what when I was at a stage when the new system was becoming stable, I was moved out of the team.I dont know what intrigues went in the background but one thing is for sure

Life has again made a set of choices for me and they better be good this time ...

Master piece movies !!!

hi fnrds,

recently I came across a golden chance to see old movies , old in the sense movies which defined the way ppl perceived cinema , which changed the way movies were shot , stories were told. And to tell you quite frankly , I was damm impressed .I had seen these movies in my school days but then those were the days I used to look forward to the fight scenes / ghost appearances/wonderful gadgets /animals playin :D . But at the 25yr of my life , I guess I had outgrown those trivialities and realized that the way the old geniuses used to say a story with no help from computers and modern day gadgetry was out of this world. To think what greater heights they would have achieved had they got access to todays modern day marvels..But then the stories would have lost their emotional raw appeal .

The movie I am goin to speak abt is Psycho a masterpiece by alfred hitchcock which to date inspires various rip offs.

It is a story of a man , a very sad lonely man called Norman Bates ; a gal , a very emotional and neck deep in gal marion and the tragedy which befells her.
She works in a real estate agent`s office as a clerk and one day when she is given some official money to deposit at the bank , she takes off with it in the hope that mebbe she and her bf can have better life with it.But little did she know what lady luck had in store for her.

Just before reaching the home city of her bf , she pulls over into a motel owned by norman bates , a very pleasant man with sudden mood swings but on the whole quite agreeable. What happens next is something which only hitchcock could describe with the minimum use of resources ..

you gotta watch this one folks and yes , like all typical hitchcock movies u better watch it from scene 1 till last scene without any break.
